Bioleo farm was born in 2003 and managed by Antonio Leo who started the practice of organic agriculture on 32 hectares land located in Alto Salento . His property is divided between 14 hectares in Ostuni (Br) where he has an olive orchard plus 18 hectares in San Vito dei Normanni (Br) with arable, almonds, olive groves and ancient fruits. On both properties the olive oil production is certified by ICEA which is our Certificate of Comformity Organic Product (www.icea.info).
The main activity is the olive culture with all his different native varieties such as: Oglialora Salentina, Cellina di Nardo' and oil specialized varieties like Coratina, Leccino and Picholine. During the harvest first the olives are picked by hands and with the use of machines then readily pressed at the mill of Antiki ulivi (www.antikiulivi.it)
