Agricoltura, Carl Sagan's: Cosmos Part 8 - Travels in space and time
agricoltura | info | prezzo | dati | produzione
Ideas about time and space are explored in the changes that constellations undergo over time, the redshift and blue shift measured in interstellar objects, time dilation in Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, the designs of both Leonardo da Vinci and spacecraft that could travel near light speed, time travel and its hypothetical effects on human history, the origins of the Solar System, the history of life, and the immensity of space. In Cosmos Update, the idea of faster-than-light travel by wormholes (researched by Kip Thorne and shown in Sagan's novel Contact) is discussed.

Boy do I miss this guy's take on things. What the hell happened to us?
-
Carl Sagan was a great communicator who brought complicated subjects within the grasp of ordinary people and unusually for a scientist of his standing he became more open minded as he grew older,.His death at such a young age was a tragedy and there are no Carl Sagans around these days.
-
I wish I grew up on Science and Carl Sagan instead of all that Noah's ark crap.
-
Carl Sagan is great and all, but I just wanna hand him a glass of water for his cotton mouth.

i have a question?
why dont we see the galaxy m31 if we can see the few starts of the adromeda constilations? are those starts brighter than the whole galaxy?
-
Can't believe I was never was taught this fascinating science..
Astronomy really puts human life into perspective.. (The realization that constellation shape depends on viewer location really blows you away. It's so obvious, but we just never consider these things.)
Thanks to FU 2 for bringing it to my awareness!
I got some studying to do...

A great man

I have a feeling the entire Solar System is a Dyson sphere built/being built by a species far superior than us.
-
32:44 "We are talking of engines the size of small worlds" Hahaha 'The Ringmakers of Saturn' anyone?
-
the study of the universe is my religion
-
Where is your helmet Paulo?! Mad man

It's a new generation every few yrs. New music , films , etc.we all have our hero's and are influenced by them . Don't we expand and grow , therefor create / invent before handing it over ..............after all they are a reflection of greatness thatcame only yesterday .

The original series used actors and made a timeless series. NDT version made use of lame cartoons. The original was far superior as far as production goes.
