Agricoltura, Jerusalem - The Hymn

The unofficial 'anthem' of England from the poem written by William Blake. A tribute to the generations that have gone before us to preserve that 'green and pleasant land' for 'England & St. George!'

Józef z Aryymatei wujek Pana Jezusa miał kopalnię cyny w Korrnwalii i nie wyobrażam sobie żeby Go nie zabrał tam w czasie Jego ukrytego życia.

we Sang this Song 2 Days Ago at My Grandads Funeral I Miss Him so Much D':
-
I remember my Mum telling me that she remembered when she was 5 years old standing on the beach looking out to sea to France that my Grandfather suddenly started crying. She could never know that he was at Mons and the Somme many years before. He used to sing this in the trenches at that time. You can tell that Blake is speaking of an idealistic place. He was a religious man and touched - so it is said - but a sheer genius, in my mind. R.I.P. Pop. Rest in peace Mum. I miss you so much xxxxxxxxx

would anyone happen to know who is the person at 3:45?
-
I listen to Blake's hymn as revolutionary.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl0yBrI24XM Anyone who thinks this is a patriotic song should watch this. It IS patriotic, but maybe not in the way some people on here would want it to be. If you're using Blake's words to justify your racism then think again.

This is the song of what left wingers and some of our British 'friends' call little englanders..
In that case I am very proud to be a little englander.
-
Absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. Thank you for sharing, England I'm certain is wonderful indeed!

I salute piddflicks and all those who made this beautiful piece come alive in this performance. Neither shall politics here in the U.S. or in the U.K. diminish the power of the music. It reminds me of my several trips to that "green and pleasant land". Blessings on the memory of the Leonard Grandparents too.

I'm English living in New Zealand this tune takes me back home
-
I'm an Irishman and love this song,my dad requested that it be played at his funeral,he loved the proms.

Magnificent hymn, ought to be the English national anthem - such a pity about the reality of England and many other countries today.
-
Description says unofficial as an Englishman with a traceable history this is and always has been in my lifetime the official anthem
-
