amazing

How can there be any reasonable discussion about the best way to help without a single second devoted to understanding the causes of the problems in the first place?
-
Hi guys please consider donating thanks :). gofundme.com/rrf2gf7

Fantastic. The evidence presented is very attractive and the fact cheap handsets can cut out the many layers of a corrupt supply chain to put money in the hands of the poor is brilliant. Very exciting.
-
Money won't last, for me the best way to help the unfortunate is to teach them new skills, any skills that can improve their livelihood.
-
Gorgeous and intelligent what a wonderful woman.
-
LOVELY SPEECH.....(golf clap)
There is a widowed woman named Aye Pu in Myanmar who lost her daughter in the Tsunami ten years ago who only wants to have her child receive a proper burial.
HOW DO I GET MONEY TO HER????

nice, but most money is sent to the governments and never reaches the people

skeptical. only once or twice is ok but repeately money directly given to the poor? nope. very impatient and uneconomic way of helping the poor. sick intellects.
-
The organizers sell the citizen a cellphone...? What if they can't afford the cellphone...? Do they have to buy a plan with it with a monthly fee for a contract? Do these organizers get commission from these sales? How does all that work, and why was it only mentioned in passing...?
-
I wonder how they can use the money when it's on their phone, you can't pay by phone... Can anyone help?
-
There are many good charities out there. I, personally, have given my monthly sponsorship to "World Vision" for many years and I know the children it has helped and how much it has helped them. Rather than give my "tithe" all to a church I do my best to give 10% each month to well researched charities. A lot of people like to say that these charities are all "rip offs" but I think that's just an excuse to hang on to the mighty dollar. Just do your homework before you give, but GIVE what you can. You can't take it with you...
-
good reasoning
-
How do the people use the money on their phones? Can they buy their milk or cattle using that money? If so, could someone explain the process or system used?
-
Sounds good but did they check how it worked n this country?
-
Very good

How many times must we make the mistake of giving hard cash away to underprivileged groups? All you get is unfounded sense of entitlement in the underprivileged society. It is much better to offer the chance for a successful life through a wide range of quality educational options. There has never been an under educated society or a portion of society that has turned itself around in any positive way when just given limited supply of cash.

This seems inherently biased. The statistics presented does'nt have any representative quality as to support that her method is better than pre-existing ones. She picks out one example of a failed project in India, which is'nt representative for how most NGO's run their organizations today. This is entirely misleading and does'nt make anyone smarter. Why not go into details about the research mentioned instead of giving an emotionally charged and misleading presentation?
