The other big winners included Casey Affleck for Manchester by the Sea, Isabelle Hupert for Elle, Viola Davis for best supporting acting in Fences, Aaron Taylor-Johnson for best supporting acting in Nocturnal Animals, Zootopia for best animated movie and Moonlight for best picture, drama.
Warner Bros. has released a new Justice League image showing off Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woma, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, Ezra Miller’s the Flash and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. It’s Monday which means it’s time for the weekend box office report brought to you AMC theatres. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story barely took the No 1 spot at the box office over new release Hidden Figures. Coming in at No 3 was Sing with $19.57 million. At No 4, the other weekend’s wide release, Underworld: Blood Wars, took in $13.1 million. While doing the press rounds for Silence, Martin Scorsese revealed that his other long-gestating dream project, a biopic of Frank Sinatra, is no longer moving forward. Speaking with the Toronto Sun, the director seemed to suggest that the Sinatra estate and the family were not comfortable with him addressing certain issues in Sinatra’s life:
“We can’t do it!…I think it is finally over. They (remaining members of the Sinatra clan) won’t agree to it. Open it up again and I’m there! Certain things are very difficult for a family, and I totally understand. But, if they expect me to be doing it, they can’t hold back certain things. The problem is that the man was so complex. Everybody is so complex—but Sinatra in particular.”
THR reports that Keegan-Michael Key, best known for Comedy Central’s Key and Peele, is in final negotiations to join the cast of The Predator, Twentieth Century Fox’s reboot of the sci-fi action franchise directed by Shane Black. Boyd Holbrook is leading the cast of the movie in what is described as an ensemble cast that also includes Moonlight’s Trevante Rhodes and Olivia Munn. The movie is scheduled for release on February 9th, 2018.
During a recent Reddit AMA, A Monster Calls and Jurassic World 2 director J.A. Bayona shared a story about his love for the original Superman movie and then, threw his name in for consideration to one day direct a movie about the Last Son of Krypton. Asked by a fan if the director had a dream film he’d like to work on, Bayona said:
“The first memory I had was Christopher Reeve flying in the suit. Directing a Superman film would be great. I always wanted to be Superman. That's the film that made me want to become a director.”

Commento
-
Sing didn't make as much money because parents are taking their kids to go see Hidden Figures and Rouge One.
-
You can have comedic musicals. What musicals are you watching dude???
-
The Globes are a frickin' joke.
-
Zootopia DEFINITELY deserved the win. It was by far the best animated film of the year. Zootopia and Inside Out are the best animated movies from the last 5 years
-
Underworld is great live the franchise I hope we get another you guys have no.clue how good ithe is

The explanation for selling on Keegan-Michael Key made no sense. I'll never understand with the obvious lesson of the ineptitude of type casting, for people acting as industry experts to give B.S. reasons for omitting actors from cross genre. Acting is suppose to be about immersing into different roles. Keegan-Michael Key is an exceptionally trained actor. I am ecstatic to see Danny McBride show a hint of new range in Alien: Covenant and bet he'll be a welcomed surprise to everyone. And I believe it's obvious already That Keegan-Michael Key has even greater talent. That's no diss at all to McBride. I'm not bias wanting to see comics get to break out of an assumed mold... but easier for a comedian/comedic talent to go drama than dramatic actor to go comic. Is what it is.
-
What's wrong with Olivia Munn Campea? It wasn't her fault she wasn't given any lines.
-
Lol anyone else see the American flag static when Kristian was talking about Predator?
-
I really don't understand Jeremy and his "I don't want to know" mantra... I DO want to know, I don't want to have to guess and not be sure about stuff implied in movies.
-
Campea you sly dog, have you dyed your hair ? ;)
-
i love all you guys but i can't believe yall didn't speak on the actual disrespect of hidden figures & fences? the whole #hiddenfences fiasco was disrespectful. They need to learn the actual titles of these great films that people work so hard on...i dont wanna make a race thing but i mean c'mon....
-
Campea needs to change his oil, get rebooted, take testosterone, something to get his head right, just has no clue on what he is talking about
-
christopher nolan boba fett or bounty hunter type movie would be great
-
I sell JA Bayona for Superman based on his comments. because I don't want another stylized Superman world with a hero that can't be related to. all respect and love for the Reeve movies.
-
Nolan in starwars would be great i think
-
Ryan Gosling should've won...........for The Nice Guys. He was giving it his all in that movie.
-
You lead your title with Justice League for the clicks but spend less than half the time on it than you spent talking about the Golden Globes. Nice strats.
