Read "Shooting an Elephant" by George Orwell. Sad but shows you a picture of the times during British Imperialism. Also for something more modern and political read "Liberty and Tyranny" by Mark Levin a very good read. Lastly try to read books of different political philosophy and formulate your own opinion, Karl Marx although profound for his ability to observe inequalities and identify classes could not predict the middle class. In fact if he did I'm sure he would consider them an anathema

Communism:
Where if you're born into a poor family, you will die poor.
But rich people get to die rich YES works perfectly. Slaves.

Well, Victoria Madrid gave you some great answers. I would strongly reccomend anything by George Orwell, especially 1984.

Well how come capitalists for many years have worked to destroy unions, Henry Ford used to set dogs and thugs onto his workers.
-
Yes helping everyone and treating people as equals regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexuality, etc is just terrible.
-
I find this idealism profoundly disturbing and sick. I do not comprehend how any sane person, being of free mind can find this appealing.
-
@wESTmanRO no. communism supports socialism. it means the people own the means of production. but yes the people are the beneficiaries. But tje two are opposite in every way.
-
so... communism is capitalism in which the people are the beneficiary, not individuals or investors
-
You make a very convincing argument -_-
-
Are you saying that entering into a "voluntary contract" is a choice in capitalist countries? Lets see how long you last in America without a job.
-
i also think if more people understood dialectical materialism they would wake up.
-
1:what do you mean they are frozen in time?
2:it isn't voluntary because people have to go work for others do to the threat of poverty.
-
Thank you. I's been 12 years since I read this. I must say Karl Marx was wrong about many things but he at least understood the evils of Capitalism.
-
Go read 1984, you'd LOVE that one.
-
I think the Americans should have listened to us more.
